HAYDN PROSEMINAR – PAPER TOPIC

Due Monday 8 March

Write a short statement saying what you want to write your term paper about. Refer to the “Term Paper” handout and to the "Bibliography" assignment (both are posted online). Your statement should include:

1) a concise description of your topic in complete sentences.

2) what repertory you propose to deal with

3) what kinds of sources you propose to use

4) what is your "leverage" – that is, what did you hear in a work by Haydn or what did you read about Haydn that struck you as interesting or problematic and that pointed you toward the topic you’re proposing?

Hand your typed statement in next week and ALSO send it to me as an Email (john.spitzer@notes.sfcm.edu). I think it will be more efficient to communicate about this via Email rather than on paper.
